  24. I just read something in a recent DV magazine about '3D' displays which allow
  25. sterescopic viewing without glasses. I think they said it used LCD displays,
  26. combined with special lenses.

  28. I saw a _really_ cool free-standing '3d' projection that was developed by
  29. some 3rd party company for the SGI platform. They were showing it off at
  30. SIGGRAPH (missed it there, but I'd seen it earlier, upclose.) Not sure how
  31. they do it, but they had the SGI logo floating in space over a pedestal. The
  32. field of view was surprisingly large, and my skin crawled when I reached out
  33. to 'touch' the object and it wasn't there!
